  There has been an intermittent squeaking noise coming from the engine bay of my car, when the AC is operating, it sounds like a worn pulley bearing or similar, and has been looked at a number of times during servicing by other mechanics but no success in diagnosing the cause of the problem.
  
  I had been to Euro Technik before to get a new battery and they looked to be a very professional workshop so I stopped by on the way to work to see if they could have a listen to the noise and hopefully had a slot available this week where he could investigate further and repair.
  
  When I asked the person on the desk to have a listen to the noise he was not interested in leaving his office to look at my car and told me that he had a schedule to keep and they did not offer a drop in service and it would make no difference if he listened to the noise or not.
  I explained I was happy to make an appointmrnt but would appreciate if he could listen to my car as the noise was intermittent and may not be apparent during a scheculed inspection.
  He eventually came out to my car and when I asked what might be causing the problem he said it could be any of a number of things and he was not going to stand on the street and diagnose the problem.
  
  Unfortunately there was not a slot available this week so I left for work. Thinking about the interaction as I drove to work it struck me how unhelpful the guy at reception had been, to the point of being rude and the attitude seemed to be somewhat arrogant. Im not sure if he was having a bad morning but it was a good example of poor customer service.
  
  Just for comparison I dropped into Pace Autowerks for a problem with my car last year and the owner looked at the car and took it for a test drive and was geneuinly helpful and said what he thought the problem might be. That was a great example of good customer service and far from my experience with Euro Technick.
  
  Jesse if you read this I have no issue with your professional ability but I do have an issue with how you treated me, as a past customer of yours, this morning. I felt disrespected and not valued as a customer.
  I have no problem that you could not fit me in for an appointment but if you had spent 5 minutes with me and seemed like you were interested I would have left a happy customer.
  I can get better service than yours at a dealership and that is not a good thing for a small business.
  I will be taking my business elsewhere and advising anyone I know to do so as well.
